As a Sr Emerging Security Technology Engineer, you will use extensive knowledge of international standards, industry best practices, professional experience, collaboration and good judgment to develop the information security strategic roadmap. The Emerging Security Technology team is responsible for identifying and assessing emerging threats in the information security space, evaluating new and exciting security technologies to mitigate emerging threats, and providing guidance on long-term initiatives within the Information Security Strategy and Roadmap. 544074
Qualifications
Responsibilities
o Execute on Nike's IT Security Strategy by designing & implementing security capabilities in support of the Strategy
o Assist in development of business cases for the adoption of new technology, standards and processes.
o Review projects for security concerns and provide security guidance to business partners
o Work with peers throughout Nike Inc. to collect input on needed security capabilities
o Gain understanding of the effectiveness of security policies and technologies.
o Provide guidance to engineering and support teams on security risks
o Staying current on security technologies, trends, standards and best practices
o Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
o Knowledge of basic information security standards, principles and practices
o Demonstrated relevant security expertise in designing security solutions for a mix of the following areas:
o Server Operating Systems (Windows / Linux)
o Workstation Operating Systems (Windows / MacOS)
o Cellular/Mobile Device technology
o Network Devices
o Storage Devices
o Virtualization
o IDS Technologies
o SIEM Technologies
o Secure Application Development
o Encryption / PKI Identity Management
o In addition knowledge in the following areas are highly desirable:
o Database Security (Oracle/MySQL)
o Compliance - SOX, PCI, ISO 27001
o Cloud / Colocation / SaaS technologies
o Forensics / Cyber Intelligence
o National and International Privacy laws and regulations
o The ability to assess risk and translate it to business relevant considerations and facts
o Superior communication, ability to explain complex concepts in plain language and graphics
o Excellent organization, and interpersonal skills with the ability to appropriately communicate and translate complex security risks to dollars
o Must be trustworthy in keeping sensitive data confidentialEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
