Certified Nursing Assistant

Department OverviewThe Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) performs delegated clinical and administrative duties within the supervising physician's scope of practice consistent with the CNA's education, training, and demonstrated competency.
This includes escorting patients to the treatment area, taking and recording vital signs, cleaning chairs and preparing private infusion rooms.
In addition, the CNA assists in maintaining the practice environment in a clean, orderly condition.
Functions as an integral member of the Department by contributing to new ideas for improving customer service and reducing costs.
Provides high quality customer service to both external and internal customers that meet or exceeds the service standards of the health care industry.
This duty includes prompt and professional communication efforts, face-to-face customer contact skills, flexible coverage of internal service needs and the continuous application of process improvement methods and skills for office services.
Function/Duties of Position Assist with the admitting and discharge Obtain accurate vital signs and weight Complete all unit specific CNA documentation in the patient's medical record related to:
admissions, daily care, vital signs, weight, intake and output, discharge, etc.
Assist the patient with any and all basic hygiene, lifting, transport, dietary support, and other personal needs and medical necessities Support patient and family centered care Report potential compliance problems as outlined in the Code of Conduct Model ethical and appropriate behavior, professional standards, compliance, and personal integrity Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without accommodation Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED Oregon CNA1 Certification at time of hire BLS required at time of hire, issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) or Military Training Network branch of AHA Additional DetailsBenefits Two raises per year - One at anniversary date and one across the board annual increase Healthcare Options - Covered 100% for full-time employees and 88% for dependents, and $25K of term life insurance provided at no cost to the employee Two separate above market pension plans to choose from Vacation- up to 200 hours per year depending on length of service Sick Leave- up to 96 hours per year 8 paid holidays per year Substantial Tri-met and C-Tran discounts Additional Programs including:

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
