Are you a detail-oriented individual with a knack for financial transactions? Our client, a leading electrical services provider, is seeking a skilled Accounting Assistant focused on accounts receivable to join their dynamic team.
As an integral part of the finance department, you will play a key role in managing the day-to-day financial activities and ensuring the smooth flow of billing and receivables.
Responsibilities:
Process daily financial transactions, including verification, classification, computation, posting, and recording of receivables related to customer accounts.
Prepare and process job invoices with accuracy and attention to detail.
Receive and process job payments and project deposits in a timely manner.
Reconcile work orders to ensure accurate and timely invoicing and project closure.
Address and resolve discrepancies and clients' billing inquiries effectively.
Facilitate timely payment of invoices by sending collection letters and communicating with clients.
Generate financial statements and reports that provide insights into accounts receivable status.
File collection accounts or small claims submissions when necessary.
Collaborate with the finance manager to ensure financial processes align with organizational goals.
Maintain tracking spreadsheets and databases to monitor financial transactions.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in an accounting/financial role.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial transactions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to resolve billing issues and collaborate with team members.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities.
