Payroll SpecialistOur client is a full-service provider of payroll and timekeeping services for local small-to-mid-sized businesses.
They are looking for a full-time Payroll Specialist to process full spectrum of payroll tasks for multiple local clients in the Pacific Northwest.
SummaryPayroll duties:
processing payroll on different schedules, maintaining multiple payroll systems, and verifying supporting documents, processing timecards/invoicesResponsibilities Posting payroll journal entries to the GL, and completing related reconciliations Monthly Worker's Compensation reporting Assist with annual 401k Census and Audit Annual W2 preparation Assist with Accounts Payable and other Accounting duties as neededQualifications Knowledge of payroll, payroll taxes, garnishments Advanced computer system proficiency Advanced math skills and ability Demonstrated ability to work accurately with numbers required.
Demonstrated self-management and strong problem solving skills.
Detail oriented, accuracy, and thoroughness required.
Ability to prioritize and organize several activities to meet daily requirements.
Ability to actively follow detailed directions written and verbal.
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
Communicate in person, over the phone, email, internet or in writing in a positive and professional manner Confidentiality in handling payroll and employee records Ability to work with minimal supervision and make productive use of time.
High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent 1
years experience in Payroll processingPreferred Qualifications Associate's degree in Finance/Accounting Payroll Certification Experience in an Accounts Payable or other Accounting role 3
years experience in Payroll processing Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus Pay:
Up to $30/hr depending on skills and qualificationsShift:
8am-5pm - some flexibility around operating hours Hybrid remote work is available for the right candidate but candidates MUST live in Oregon or Washington.
