Our Late Stage Collections Specialists will enjoy working in a state-of-the-art call center facility where quality service is priority and teamwork is valued. You will thrive in a high volume, high pressure environment, and display a comfort level in having difficult conversations. Using empathy, knowledge, and confidence, you'll identify and apply the correct solution to help customers retain their homes. Collections Specialists will handle inbound and outbound calls to proactively collaborate with customers, third parties, and attorneys to initiate collections, retention, or liquidation remedies.
Other responsibilities may include:
Documenting all customer contact in accordance with established procedures
Complete a root cause analysis during customer phone calls to determine their ability to pay and their understanding of their financial situation
Ability to understand how to tactfully communicate difficult/sensitive information
Ability to handle, resolve, defuse, and escalate issues in a tactful manner
Meet call center performance metrics as set out by leadership to achieve business objectives and goals
Sending appropriate workout letters according to established procedures, regulatory and compliance standards, and timelines
Understand government programs and GSE loan servicing requirements; particularly Fannie Mae.
Requirements:
Minimum 6 months call center and mortgage servicing experience
Strong customer service skills
Effective communicators who maintain professionalism at all times and can resolve problems in a tactful manner
Ability to multi-task with attention to detail
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access, is required.
Applicants must be willing to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as requested
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants who are bilingual in English/Spanish are preferred.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
