Grounds personnel are involved in all aspects of maintaining and enhancing the appearance of the Headquarters Campus including; trash removal, weeding, mowing, and trimming, fertilization of plants and turf, removal of leaf debris, planting, mulching, pruning and irrigation system repairs. Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds. Will need to work independently at times with little or no direct supervision. Present a neat, professional appearance at all times when working on site. Ability to understand and follow all safety requirements when working. Cuts and maintains lawns and/or grass. Rakes and maintains leaves, plants, flowers, trees or shrubs. Ability to operate blower and other machinery. Provides grounds maintenance in all seasons. May be responsible for light snow removal. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. -Reports to the grounds supervisor/manager -High school diploma or its equivalent -Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures applicable to the field
