As our Knit Innovation Center Director, you'll lead the exploration, education and proof of concept around engineered knit textiles and garments for Nike Apparel.
You will help to define and lead the facility, technical Team, communication, product process and deliverables for a brand new innovation center at Nike. You will partner with Product Innovators in all phases of innovation and Product Development, and be responsible for communication across a wide range of stakeholders. You will generate new ways of thinking about aspects of performance based knit products that result in growth opportunities and competitive advantages in the marketplace. You will develop ideas by collaborating with Product Creation on the genesis of new product concepts for the Nike Apparel business. You will develop advanced product concepts through the use of new technologies and processes. You will meet complex challenges with imaginative state of the art approaches.
## Qualifications
Leadership skills to facilitate and maximize individual and team performance
Extensive knowledge of knitwear garment construction methods, product development, machinery, yarn technologies, knitwear technical language
Demonstrated advanced skills in ideation, problem solving, collaboration, communication
Define, oversee and help plan the initial creation and development of a brand new innovation facility for Nike
Proficient in dealing with complex challenges with state of the art approaches
Comfortable with equipment and tools for hands on concepting, and directing Concept Creators to facilitate initial concept prototypes
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Advanced project management skills, including project planning and the ability to lead in high pressure situations and meet deadlines
Understands connectivity between business and innovation
