As an Expert IT Security Engineer, your role on the team will include using your extensive knowledge of industry best practices, policies and good judgment to design, implement, and administer systems that facilitate analysis of large sets of security data. The Expert IT Security Engineer must be a proven problem solver and adept at making good decisions under pressure. With a mindset of continual process improvement and scalability, their voice must be the voice of reason with a clear understanding of risks.
Qualifications
Knowledge of basic information security standards, principles and practices
Demonstrated relevant security expertise in designing security solutions for a mix of the following areas:
Server Operating Systems (Windows / Linux)
Workstation Operating Systems (Windows / MacOS)
Cellular/Mobile Device technology
Network Devices
Storage Devices
Virtualization
IDS Technologies
SIEM Technologies
Secure Application Development
Encryption / PKI Identity Management
In addition knowledge in the following areas are highly desirable:
Database Security (Oracle/MySQL)
Compliance - SOX, PCI, ISO 27001
Cloud / Colocation / SaaS technologies
Forensics / Cyber Intelligence
National and International Privacy laws and regulations
The ability to assess risk and translate it to business relevant considerations and facts
Superior communication, ability to explain complex concepts in plain language and graphics
Excellent organization, and interpersonal skills with the ability to appropriately communicate and translate complex security risks to dollars
Education & Certifications:
Requires a Bachelor's degree in computer science or related filed, or equivalent work experience
7 years of information technology experience with a minimum of 3 years in an information security related role in a fortune 500 company
Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
