The primary purpose of this position is to manage the supplier base to ensure an uninterrupted flow of materials, machinery or services procured in a manger which provides the best value to Greatbatch.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES &
Responsibilities:
Adheres to Greatbatch Core Beliefs and all safety and quality requirements.
Interprets, defines and communicates material requirements to suppliers using technical expertise.
Negotiates terms with suppliers: including price, deliver and availability of materials and long term agreements, when applicable.
Develops partnerships with suppliers to ensure a continuous improvement process is in place to optimize a) lead time reduction, b) technology and new product development, c) quality and d) communication.
Negotiates significant capital equipment purchases and assists key requisitioners in developing specifications, source lists and negotiation strategies.
Investigates new suppliers, including assisting in systems audits.
Works with suppliers on strategies to optimize inventory throughout the entire supply chain.
Develops strategies to drive costs out of the supply chain.
Performs other functions as required.
Qualifications: (education & experience)
Education/
Experience: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business. 5-7 years of experience in procurement or related process-driven field.
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
Knowledge in concepts of negotiating and general procurement principles.
Strong technical knowledge including various manufacturing processes and the ability to read and understand blueprints.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
