We are currently seeking a strong TECHNICAL WRITER to join our team!
Summary
Responsible for creating and writing various types of user and technical documentation,including how-to guides, references, manuals, cheat sheets, instructions, and business or technical processes and procedures.
Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts and team members to develop and improve technical documentation. Create, update and revise technical documentation, including: research, analysis, and process workflow. The position will be responsible for a wide range of analysis, to include engineering research integration and technical support services, supporting the development, implementation and sustainment of a robust documentation program and catalog to include updating existing document databases, and producing any engineering data required to implement solutions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Researches, writes, edits, and proofreads technical data for use in documents or sections of documents such as manuals, procedures and specifications.
Ensure technical documentation is accurate, complete, meets editorial and governance specifications and adheres to standard for quality, graphics, coverage, format, and style.
Assists in establishing style guidelines and standards.
Formalizes writing requirements for the program by providing oversight on documentation to include deliverable's and Engineering Design Packages. Standard Operating Procedures (SOP),functional manuals, diagrams, charts, forms, and miscellaneous reports as required.
Provides real-time reference support to program personnel in all aspects of professional business writing to include spelling, grammatical skills, paragraph structure, document formatting, better defining technical requirements in written format, and any other items as assigned.
Develops and maintains templates and formats to enhance writing capabilities in a more uniformed and consistent manner, synchronizing overall writing skill sets for the program.
Work with Engineers and other to gather data and format information in plans, processes and play books.
Additional requirements may include:
x Explain industry and technical ideas in simple language.
x Meet with customer representatives, vendors, plant executives, or publishers to establish technical details to include in-house documentation.
x Study drawings, specifications, mockups, and product samples.
x Create user documentation for a variety of material, including how-to guides and instruction manuals.
x Ensure technical verbiage is easy to understand by the layperson as well as sufficiently detailed to meet the needs for ongoing management and support of technical solutions
x Follow a document development life cycle.
x Conduct online tutorials.
Work Site Environment: Resort-like environment with Athletic fields, trees, plenty of grass (not that grass) and buildings named after past greats. Amenities include bank machines, gift shops, dry cleaners, restaurants, and access to the company store.
