Caregiver for Seniors: On-call

Follow the Service Plan for your client.
Provide services including: bathing assistance, walking assistance, transfers, meal preparation, laundry, shopping/errands for the client, plant/yard care, toileting assistance, dressing assistance, medication reminder, housekeeping/cleaning, transportation of the client, companionship, and pet care.
Follow the standards of conduct as outlined in the Caregiving Guide.
Use safe and appropriate caregiving techniques.
Communicate effectively with clients, client's family, and agency staff members.
Observe confidentiality rules.
Report to your Area Manager any incident, abuse, falls, unsafe situations, adverse behaviors or anything you question as unusual.
React appropriately to medical or non-medical emergencies.
Adapt and respond to each individual client.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
