Senior Release Engineer

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Release Engineer in Beaverton, Oregon (OR).Summary:As a Senior Release Engineer, the ideal candidate will be responsible for automating, configuring, and executing builds and releases for several of the client's application teams. The candidate will be part of a broader team of release engineers serving their Digital and Retail direct to consumer business. The client works in a very fast moving, constantly changing environment and need resources who are able to provide flexible, but reliable, self-service, and easy to understand, release automation to their teams.Responsibilities: Developing and operating tools and automation to allow for efficient, reliable releases Working with engineering teams to implement sustainable deployment packaging and automation systems Taking the lead troubleshooting deployment and application issues in a complex, multi-tiered, and multi-homed platform Supporting both production and pre-production change execution Managing and supporting the client's CI and source control systems Facilitation of applications and resources from datacenter to cloud environments 6 years of experience with software build and release engineering Deep understanding of configuration management and release engineering practice and procedures; DevOps/Continuous Delivery experience is a big plus Linux shell scripting (ex., bash, Python, and Perl) experience Experience monitoring and triaging tools such as Splunk, New Relic, and Dynatrace Experience with automation and orchestration tools such as Puppet, Maven, Ant, Ansible, Chef, and OpenShift Experience with continuous integration technologies including TeamCity, Jenkins, and Bamboo Strong Linux system administration experience In depth knowledge of Java web application containers (JBoss, Jetty, Tomcat) and web servers (Nginx, Apache) Windows Platform experience including InstallShield and SCCM Kforce is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer. Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
