Ixia is expanding our Engineering team. The successful candidate will work as a part of a focused team creating industry-leading test equipment for the wireless industry.
Position Description:
As a Systems Quality Assurance Engineer, you will play a key role in defining and developing system, software and hardware testing methods used for testing leading-edge wireless communication test equipment. In this position you will work closely with other hardware, software, RF, system, FPGA and DSP engineers. This position is for an engineer who enjoys working on all aspects of product delivery, being connected to the end customer, and delivering solutions at the highest performance level.
Provide QA and test automation in a test-driven highly automated environment at both the micro and macro levels.
Design and rollout test infrastructure development and automation platforms.
Develop tooling and services for reporting and monitoring of all test automation platforms.
Troubleshooting and fixing device under test issues using both software and hardware based debugging skill sets.
Thinking creatively about how to proactively address customer concerns and preventing issues from spiraling
Working closely with other engineers developing new platforms and features to make supporting our customers easier and more efficient.
BSEE/BSCS with 3+ years or MSEE/MSCS with 2+ years of relevant experience or equivalent.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate proficiency in the following areas:
Strong mastery of Python and use of Python in test harnessing.
Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems.
Experienced software coder with working knowledge of C and C++.
Experienced RTL coder for ASICs and/or FPGAs using Verilog.
Working knowledge of Make and TCL and other scripting languages preferred.
Proficient in use of version control languages such as CVS, SVN, and/or GIT.
Some experience with Jenkins is a big plus.
Working knowledge of network topics and protocols such as Ethernet and WiFi.
Understands the use of test equipment such as Oscilloscope and Multimeter.
Strong background in hands-on debug and validation experience in a lab and pre-production environment.
Demonstrated ability to work productively in a disciplined engineering process, and ability to deliver work products that are free of defects.
Competency in the multi-tasking and meeting tight project schedules.
Ability to document systems, including identification of interfaces and module requirements.
Demonstrated ability to learn and explore new technology areas and applications
Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work well in a team environment.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
