Senior Hardware Engineer
Ixia is expanding our Engineering team. The successful candidate will work as a part of a focused team creating industry-leading test equipment for the wireless industry.
Position Description:
As a Hardware Engineer, you will play a key role in defining and developing products for testing leading-edge wireless communication equipment. In addition, as a key member of the Hardware Engineering team, you will be involved in all aspects of the product development including; architecture, simulation, design, layout, design verification and introduction into manufacturing. In this position will work closely with other hardware, RF, system, FPGA and DSP engineers. This position is for an engineer who enjoys working on all aspects of product delivery, being connected to the end customer, and delivering solutions at the highest performance level.
Requirements:
BSEE with 5+ years or MSEE with 3+ years of relevant experience or equivalent.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate proficiency in the following areas:
Experienced in schematic capture and layout of complex digital and RF circuits.
Experienced with high speed digital design and signal integrity techniques for single-ended and differential signals, including controlled impedance transmission lines.
Demonstrated ability to define board stackup, via placement, ground layer definition, power distribution theory and complex routing.
Ability to work with high pin count BGAs, CPUs and other densely populated circuitry.
Strong background with DDR2/3/4, SRAM, PCIe, GIGE, 10GIGE interface design.
Strong background in switching and LDO based power supply design.
Experience with RTL coding for ASICs and FPGAs
Mastered proficiency in the use of test equipment such as Oscilloscope and Multimeter.
Strong background in hands-on debug and validation experience in a lab environment.
Familiar with the FCC and other regulatory agencies requirements for EMI/EMC with proven ability to meet Class B FCC requirements on digital designs.
Working knowledge of C, Make, Python and other scripting languages preferred.
Working knowledge of Unix/Linux/Windows XP operating systems.
Demonstrated ability to work productively in a disciplined engineering process, and ability to deliver work products that are free of defects.
Competency in the multi-tasking and meeting tight project schedules.
Ability to document systems, including identification of interfaces and module requirements.
Competency in moving design through all stages of design life-cycle including production.
Demonstrated ability to learn and explore new technology areas and applications
Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work well in a team environment
Bonus experience:
Experienced in Mixed-signal designs include transmitters, receivers, clocking architectures, PLL/DLLs/VCO, regulators, ultra-low noise power supplies, equalizers and ESD protection.
Additional experience in other RF/microwave circuits such as low noise amplifier (LNA), mixer, modulator, power amplifier (PA), directional-coupler, band-pass/band-stop filter, attenuator and switches.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
