$100,000 to $120,000, Technical Account Manager - Motion Controls - OR - please apply online 4 Our Client designs and manufactures optical encoders, inclinometers and motion control components used in robotics, diagnostic equipment, industrial automation, etc. They are looking for a Technical Account Manager to manage and sell their products to existing and new OEMs in their assigned vertical markets. The job is in a new 118,000 sq. ft. facility in Vancouver, WA., 15 minutes from downtown Portland, OR. Position Summary: The Technical Account Manager will drive incremental sales growth by pursuing and acquiring new accounts and maintaining current OEM accounts for motion control products. In this position, the successful candidate will create and build client relationships and insure design wins. Client prefers to look at candidates with an Engineering degree! The successful candidate will assist in developing and facilitating the proposal process for specific clients/sponsors including budget and pricing, proposal writing, contract negotiations and client presentations. Strong leadership skills, communication skills (verbal and written), in addition to seamless coordination and cooperation with Marketing, Customer Service and Engineering teams are essential to the success of the chosen candidate. This position reports to the VP of Sales & Marketing. Role Responsibilities: Develop and maintain management - level relationships with multiple, large OEM customers to drive the companys profitable revenue growth. Target, pursue and develop new OEM accounts, both foreign and domestic companies, to drive the companys profitable revenue growth through design wins. Strong understanding of the the company product portfolio, as well as competitive product portfolios, to enable technical conversations with customers and prospects. Work with key customers to identify opportunities for the development of custom products and interface closely with Engineering management to communicate custom product technical, pricing and lead time requirements. Work closely with company Marketing as a source of customer and market intelligence. Effectively promote the the company brand, for example, by participating in trade shows and developing content. Establish and maintain on-going client relationships to anticipate and resolve potential problems, including the escalation of issues to company management, as necessary. Manage customer relationships throughout the internal organization including Customer Service, Finance and Manufacturing. Track and report on the status of assigned accounts, markets and sales opportunities, as well as associated contacts, in CRM. Resolve conflicts to insure customer satisfaction, while maintaining the goals and integrity of the company. Requirements: Engineering degree with emphasis on industrial controls and automation is preferred. Equivalent combined education and work experience will be considered. 3+ years of technical hardware sales experience, with a proven track record in the Industrial Automation marketplace. Experience managing & selling to OEM's is a Big +! Willingness and ability to travel up to 20%, both domestic and foreign. Proficient in MS Office software. Proficient in CRM, preferably Microsoft Dynamics. Solid organizational skills. Extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, for a variety of tasks, in a timely and thorough manner. Thorough understanding of sales processes, customer buying behavior and how to close a sale. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to manage work within defined workflow processes. Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Green Card Holder. Self-starter able to work with minimal supervision.
