Global Indirect Expenditures Accountant

Kforce has a client seeking a Global Indirect Expenditures Accountant in Beaverton, Oregon (OR).Summary: As the Indirect Expenditures Accountant, you will be responsible for executing various accounting functions and advancing strategic initiatives of Controlling to design and implement global processes and policies for capturing indirect expenditures. You will actively collaborate with multiple teams and cross-functional business partners to drive process excellence and financial statement accuracy.Key Responsibilities Include:
Execute accounting processes and maintain effective internal controls around the tracking and accounting for indirect expenditures, primarily indirect accrued liabilities
Prepare monthly supporting schedules and variance analyses for the organization, as well as quarterly reporting schedules for internal and external reporting
Assess technical accounting considerations and financial statement impact related to contract analysis and engagements with customers and vendors in accordance with US GAAP and Accounting Policy
Identify financial statement risks and develop proposed solutions through engagement with key business partners and independent research of financial and technical accounting implications
Clearly and concisely communicate judgmental accounting conclusions, shifts in business strategy and recommended improvements to accounting policy and process
Assist with the creation and documentation of accounting policies, processes and internal control framework
Develop relationships with business partners and counterparts in other geographies to drive implementation of global best practices
Drive continuous improvement in the efficiency and effectiveness of accounting processes and financial reporting
Proactively engage with the brand and network across multiple functions to learn about business strategy and understand the role of Controlling
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or related field
2-4 years of experience in accounting or related functions
Public accounting experience and Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred
Positive attitude with strong enthusiasm and passion for the brand
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in order to effectively communicate status, issues and risks to a diverse audience
Strong ability to handle and effectively prioritize multiple competing priorities and requests
Strong ability to develop relationships across teams, seek information and problem solve in order to effectively drive and innovate processes
Experience with SAP preferred
Ability to pass a 7-year background check

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
