Digimarc is seeking a Market Development Manager for the retail and private label industry in the Beaverton, OR office. This person will serve as a subject matter expert (SME) and build a go-to-market strategy and execution plan focused on retail store operations and private label brand management. The candidate must have proven retail industry expertise and knowledgeable of the private brand or private label business. This person will effectively develop and communicate a strategy that motivates a team and focuses on achieving business results..
ESSENTIAL FUNCTONS / MAJOR RESPONSIBILTIES:
+ Understands and knowledgeable of retail operations and brand or private label management in general merchandise, daily shopping and specialty stores
+ Define market development plan targeting retail store operators and private or brand managers
+ Represent the voice of the customer and capture requirements for product management and engineering
+ Analyze market trends, top retail companies, and industry-specific events, associations, and key influencers
+ Develop value proposition, positioning and messages, and communicate the benefits of Digimarc solutions for the retail market
+ Work closely with Sales, Product Management, Partner Management, and Marketing team to execute market development plans
+ Attend and actively participate in industry events and conferences representing Digimarc in the retail industry
+ Enable Sales on retail store and private label business and drive engagement focused on top accounts
+ Individual contributor role, but position necessitates collaborative approach with subject matter experts (SMEs), product management, engineering, marketing, and executive team
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
+ Demonstrated knowledge of the retail industry across multiple channel categories including general and mass merchandisers, specialty, and daily shopping stores
+ Minimum of seven years of proven experience planning and executing market development and go-to-market plans
+ Outstanding communications and presentation skills
+ Ability to develop customer-facing messaging and supporting content
+ Aptitude to frame and analyze problems, and represent new ideas and considerations to management team and customer leadership teams
+ Creative, innovative, breakthrough, disruptive mindset
+ Demonstrated ability to take action and generate results
+ Proven capability to collaborate with and influence a varied group of stakeholders
+ Self-awareness, the ability to be self-critical and a strong desire to learn/grow
+ Ability to travel and meet with potential and existing partners and represent the company at conferences and partner events
+ BA or BS in Brand Management, Marketing, or related field or equivalent in work experience

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
