PDS Tech, Inc. is seeking a Field Technician 1 for an open position in Beaverton, O
Job Summery
+ We are looking for a Creative, self-motivated individual to work on the shop floor, building and wiring control panels
+ This position will work closely with design engineers and shop mechanical personnel.
+ Able to work independently and with others
+ Operate under supervision of the lead man in the assembly department able to stand for prolonged periods of a concrete floor
+ Able to lift 25lbs
+ 2 - 4 years of control panel assembly work experience
+ Must have average manual dexterity
+ Able to read English
+ Able to perform basic math
+ Able to read a tape measure
+ Update schematics to incorporate Redlines and updates
+ Perform additional duties as assigned
Education and Experience:
+ High School Diploma or equivalent
+ 2 - 4 years of control panel work experience
+ Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
+ Prior panel building experience
Skills and Abilities:
+ Knowledge of UL 508a practices
+ Knowledge of safe work practices
+ Computer literacy is a big plus (MS office products)
+ Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written
+ Excellent time management and interpersonal skills
+ Knowledge of general automation control systems and field installations would be a plus but not required.
+ Knowledge of proper cutting and drilling techniques for various types of metals ( Stainless Steel, Steel, and Aluminum)
+ Must be detail-oriented and a team-player
+ Ability of using power and Hand tools in a safe and proper manner.
+ Electric Drill (hand and Drill Press) knowledge of proper bit or Blade to use for the task at hand
+ Cutting (jig saw, punches, miter saw, die grinder, plaudit cutter, circular saw)
+ Removes small quantities of metal with hand files and scrapers to produce close fit between parts
+ Hand tools (screw drivers, torque wrench, wire cutters, wire strippers, Terminal crimpers)
+ Fastens parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, or other fasteners, using hand t tools and or power tools.
+ Ability to read, understand, and build to electrical schematics
+ Must have understanding of control panel layouts and how to assemble those panels
+ Positions parts according to knowledge of unit being assembled or following blueprints.
+ Ability to work independently or with a group of people
+ Knowledge of pneumatics and electrical schematic systems
+ Working knowledge of electrical components
+ Panel lay-out and wiring
+ Ensure that work is in accordance with relevant codes(UL 508a).
+ Ability to test electrical equipment, components or systems, fixtures and related equipment
+ Ability to read technical documents for set-up and operation of components
This position may require you to submit to and pass a drug test and/or background check. If this is a hands-on position, you may also be required to pass a safety and productivity examination.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
