Molding Area Supervisor

REQUIREMENTS:
A minimum of 10 years of recent and provable experience as a supervisor in a manufacturing facility.
Proficient with computer software as needed to perform job functions such as MS Office software.
Strong written/verbal communication
Strong decision making, problem solving and technical analytical skills in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to work under time constraints with changing priorities, multi-task, prioritize and maintain professional demeanor at all times.
Strong manufacturing leadership traits.
Self-directed with ability to work and communicate effectively in stressful conditions.
Team building training experience, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Strong problem solving and technical analytical skills in a manufacturing environment.
JOB DUTIES:
Provide proactive leadership in individual initiatives dealing with productivity, cost reduction, safety, and personnel performance improvements.
Proficient using scientific methods and data driven decisions.
Mentor and develop set-up/process technicians and leads on key aspects of manufacturing processes and methods.

Mentor, assist, and develop set-up/process technicians Supervise the set-up, operations and maintenance of the molding machines.
Implement and monitor metrics specific to the molding process to effectively measure and improve labor costs, scrap reduction, and process efficiency.
Ensure molding department adherence to all procedures, SOP's, and safety practices. Assist with the development and revision of operator instructions and procedures.
Develop, maintain, and implement an effective Machine Operator training program to advance the knowledge of operators.
Establish and provide clear guidelines of expectations following company guidelines and policy.
Foster a culture of professionalism and pride in the work and accomplishments of staff and subordinates. Provide relevant and timely recognition and apply discipline consistently and fairly.
Develop a lead role in continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.
Assist in the development or revision of operator instructions and procedures.
Responsible for and enforces all safety rules/regulations in the molding area.
Administer application of company personnel policies, including performance evaluations, attendance, sick leave, safety and routine working rules and regulations.
Works/coordinates with other departments to assist and resolve any production problems to ensure timely deliveries to customers and resolve customer issues.
Trains and orientates new employees.
Support ISO certification, policies, and procedures.
Serve as a good role model for teamwork, attitude, performance, and quality awareness.
Perform other work related duties as assigned

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
