Description: As an Inside Account Manager (IAM) you will provide end users & partners with best-in-class Test & Measurement products & services. Daily you will work closely with Tektronix end-user customers providing the information they need to purchase through an authorized distributor of Tektronix instruments. Additionally, you will work closely with the field Mainstream Sales Managers (MSM) to ensure they have the necessary support to work efficiently and productively within their assigned territory. By helping the MSM manage their territory, you allow them to quickly identify, qualify and close business in a shorter period of time. Your primary goal is to cultivate customer relationships and drive sales for Tektronix test and measurement products in a defined territory. You will be required to interact with multiple customers and partners daily. Being successful requires a full understanding of customers' applications, the ability to describe the key benefits of all test and measurement products, and the ability to assist a customer in selecting the appropriate solution for their application, all over the phone. You must be efficient, detail-oriented and able to multi-task. You will also be required to know, understand, and follow the company values and processes. You will be responsible for: + Appropriate assignment of all marketing leads within your territory to the appropriate authorized distributor. + Follow-up via phone and email on all of those assigned leads to ensure that the end user customer received the information he/she needs to purchase Tektronix instruments. + As part of that follow-up, understand if the customer purchased and update the CRM system appropriately. + Work with your Mainstream Sales Managers and other members of the sales team to ensure that you are following their direction in terms of partner support and lead assignment. + Effectively utilize company resources including technical support, applications engineers, direct sales teams, and customer service reps. Qualifications: Requirements: + 2-year degree or equivalent work experience. + Minimum of 3 years work experience in an inside/outside sales role. Preferred: + Distribution sales experience a plus + Understanding/knowledge of Tektronix instruments. + Highly motivated and success-driven. + Outstanding interpersonal skills. + Strong communication and presentation skills. + Excellent time management skills. + Proficient Skills in Word, Excel and Outlook Due to US Department of Commerce export control regulations governing technical data of Tektronix products, Tektronix needs to know the citizenship of all its employees. Note that US Citizenship is not required for most positions. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
